Let's be honest, planning a wedding is overwhelming at best. Choosing your wedding flowers is a task you've probably never done before and won't do again. You want to bring your flower dreams to life while trying to stay on budget. But what is a realistic wedding flower budget? Let's break it down!
Budget Expectations
Depending on the size of your wedding party and how extravagant you want to be with your arrangements, the cost of flowers will vary. To give you an idea of what certain budgets will get you, I'll give you a little breakdown.
$750-$1200: Bridal bouquet, 4-7 bridesmaids bouquets, groom's boutonniere, 4-7 groomsmen boutonnieres
$1200-$4000: Bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, groom & groomsmen boutonnieres, arch or statement piece
$3000-$5000: Bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, arch/statement piece(s), 10-15 centerpieces
$5000+: Everything you could dream of!
On top of these prices, you also have to factor in set-up and delivery costs. These completely vary from wedding to wedding, and are dependent on location of wedding as well as complexity of arrangements that need to be set up. Some statement pieces are installations that we build on site and may require more time.
Staying Within Your Budget
If you're Pinterest board is overflowing with wedding flower ideas, but your budget is set and you don't know how to narrow down what you want, here's a couple of things we suggest to save:
1. Put your budget towards focal pieces:
These can include: ceremony backdrops, large statement arrangements, head table garlands/arrangements, etc. Having a few extravagant statement pieces will bring a wow factor that spreading your budget between many smaller arrangements may not. It's also likely these will be your most photographed pieces and most remembered!

2. Cut out family flowers:
(Boutonnieres/corsages): these little pieces add up quick and are forgotten even quicker. Budgeting that money elsewhere may allow you to get that wow-factor, Pinterest-worthy statement piece of your dreams.
3. Keep your centrepieces simple:
Usually, between place settings, candles, table numbers, etc. the table space will fill up quickly and you won't need to go to the extreme with your flower centerpieces. A small arrangement or a few bud vases filled with stems placed along the tables is the perfect way to add a pop of colour without breaking the bank. Mixing and matching your centrepieces will also create a big impact with small arrangements.
4. Repurpose, repurpose, repurpose!
So many pieces can have double uses. Getting larger aisle markers can allow you to reuse them on tables as centerpieces. You can spread them out around your venue for the reception; place a few at the entrance, one on your guest book table, a couple at the base of your head-table or sweetheart table. There's endless uses for these!
Arch pieces or other ceremony backdrops have the potential to be reused on your head-table, ceremony arch, fireplace mantle, etc. We will make a plan prior to your day to ensure these pieces will work for their new home in your reception space.
All in all, don't forget that your wedding is about enjoying a day of love with your family and friends, and the planning/costs shouldn't overshadow your day.
